Therefore, when nurses offer spiritual guidance, the patient will recover more quickly,

Spiritual care brings emotional healing – depression is a big issue for patients with serious conditions. They tend to blame themselves and the whole world for their conditions. They reject their loved ones and get closed in themselves. Forming a cocoon or wall around themselves. Spirituality teaches them love, not only towards others, but also towards themselves. Loving yourself is a big step in healing.

Spiritual care brings acceptance – many people can’t deal with their condition. They often are impatient with the effect of the treatments. Or they just simply give up the fight. Spirituality is important to make people accept their condition and to believe in their recovery. Nurses should be able to answer the questions of “Why?” and “Why me?”. Questions that every seriously ill patient asks himself. Acceptance is also important for those who are dying. They have to accept their condition. And they have to find peace in their hearts.

Spiritual care is important for dying patients – as I said below, acceptance is important for dying patients. And spirituality will offer them acceptance. But spiritual care offers many more. They bring peace to them. And also brings them the hope for the afterlife. Spirituality is the only thing that can assure the dying patients that death is not the end.

In conclusion, Spiritual Care In Nursing is very important. Although, most nurses have no idea what spiritual care is. Therefore, we have to integrate it in nurse’s curricula. And it should be thought at nursing schools. Because spirituality is very important for ill patients.
